Alamo Model Railroad Engineers
A.M.R.E. is a model railroading club located at the Texas Transportation Museum in San Antonio, TX.
We have a 100'+ long HO scale model railroad which has 4 different levels and state of the art Digital Command Control technology or DCC by Digitrax.
Members enjoy 5 Digitrax DT-400R radio throttles, and 4 Club owned Locomotives and over 100 club owned pieces of rolling stock. That way, even someone without any locomotives can still run trains.
Generally Saturdays and Sundays are the best days to see the layout in operation.
We meet every second Friday at 7:30 P.M. and would be glad to show you how everything works since we're not busy running for the public.
Starting in August of 2007 we are now having an Operation Session every third Friday starting at 6:00PM
On other Fridays, we meet between 5:30PM and 10:00PM to work on the layout and fun run.
